With great power... 

Once, the lover of a Telvanni council member expressed his boredom. Ready to aid (and suffering the same cruel fate), a self-proclaimed hero dubbed him Damsel in Distress and gathered everyone willing and able to aid, and the small party ventured to Shadowfen - on guar-back, because they lacked the means of teleportation.

In Shadowfen they went to investigate a recently-discovered training ground of the Shadowscales, which had been, for some mysterious reason, been entirely abandoned... Upon descending into the dark and eerie cave our heroes heard strange scratching noises from within the walls... Great was their terror as chitin-clad hands sprung from the muddy ground, trying to drag one of them into the earth itself...

Our group escaped with their lives, but almost barely. Upon their return to Heimlyn Keep, the Damsel in Distress informed his lover...

... who levelled the mountain.

Of course you can have a powerful character. But:

Please be aware of your responsibility. The mightier you are, the more you can ruin the RP for everyone else.

• Performing a surgery on someone? Two hours of great RP for everyone involved, or one healing spell. 
  
• Encountering an unknown artifact? Trial and error, rituals and research - or one person who can see auras.
• Spying on someone? Sneaking, avoiding enemy patrols, bribing and blackmailing - or invisibility and charm spells.

The mightier character will put back, if the situation requires it.

Yes, that's the price you pay for being able to unleash a nuclear bomb with the power of your mind.
