Does DB change anything in our RP setting?
No - they don't concern us. The DLC's events have scheduled the Dark Brotherhood for re-evaluation both as a tool and a threat, but they have been dismissed as insignificant:
The author of the Assassins' League motif book agrees:
The “Dark Brotherhood”? Utter nonsense. The Brotherhood is a myth. A legend. A lie. Death comes to us all, and murder is merely a matter of mundane craft. There’s no need to invoke the Void, or its, ahem, mother.
Ah, but a secret society of assassins, a guild of killers for hire. Now that makes sense. That’s just good business. And like every good business, we have standards.
Can I use the fancy Assassin persona?
Counterquestion: Do you really want to fiddle around with a knife every 20 seconds in close proximity to paranoid Telvanni wizards?
The Assassin persona is banned in Heimlyn Hub for your characters' safety.
For other RP hubs, please consider the fact that characters who compulsively juggle around pointy objects in short intervals will probably not be met with much courtesy.
What's new, how do I get it?
Poisons!
