Although it has been quite kind of Mother Morrowind never to complain on the occasion of our gatherings in her antechambers, neither a Tribunal temple nor an entrance hall are an appropriate location for a Telvanni guild meeting. The temple remains a public place, and on one occasion we have already experienced the downside of that fact, when a random citizen with eruptive lightning diarrhea walked in, so I took it upon myself to find us a better location.
As most of you will have noticed by now, mushroom towers refuse to grow outside of Vvardenfell - it must have something to do with the proximity, or better, the lack thereof, to the Red Mountain. Although our best specialists are researching the matter, we haven't been successful yet in growing a gathering place, so I had to fall back on one of our properties on the main land. Of course House Telvanni owns ground in Stonefalls and Deshaan - in fact, almost every desirable location is either owned directly by house members or by one of our pupp... employees. So the only limitation to finding a suitable spot was to find one that wasn't under a long-term contract that prevented this purpose. Further requirements were suitable seclusion - we can't have commoners walking in on us all the time - and proper proportions.
House Dres were, of course, not too happy when I informed them of my intent, but were in no position to deny me. We will from now on meet in the place known as "Grandmaster's Palace" in Kragenmoor. Officialy, the Dres are still running the place - discretion never hurts.
