Add-On recommendations
Things I can't live without:
AdvancedFilters
Adds another list with filters to the inventory menu. I have actually no idea how this is not a default function of the game.
Awesome Guildstore
Adds a ton of filtering options to the guild store. I have no idea why this is not in the default UI, but it's a must-have for everyone who does not enjoy clicking through eight hundred pages of randomly associated auctions.
Dustman
Lets you set which items in your inventory to mark as junk by default. Can sell all those when talking to a vendor without you doing anything.
pchat
If I had to chose one Add-On, it would be this. Adds a ton of options to the standard ESO chat, such as
- copy text
- display account or character name or both
- timestamps
- custom nicknames for players - standalone Add-On name: pNames
- better channel coloring than the standard UI
- account wide chat settings after a character of your choice
- allows the use of multiple key binds for things (such as ctrl+hotkey) - standalone Add-On name: Emacs
InventoryInsight
An accountwide database of items - how many of what in which character's inventory. Also displays style tooltips. This add-on got me into add-on codings by ceasing to function. Yes, I maintain it.
No, Thank You
Lets you turn off a gazillion of annoying UI "features", including the rummage-bag-thing that breaks your emotes while RPing.
Things I could live without, but rather wouldn't:
Toilet Paper
'nuff said
Auto Max Improvement
Don't accidentally destroy items when trying to improve them
Auto Recharge - with settings menu
Automatically applies soul gems / repair kits on your gear if it falls below a certain threshold. Make sure to grab the right version.
Better Glyph Tooltip
Adds clear level information to glyph tooltips, instead of telling you which rank in Improvement you need to use them
Binder
Lets you save your keybind set via slash command and allows the re-loading across toons. Nifty for RP, as it lets you unbind your jump key.
CraftBagExtended
Allows you to access your craft bag directly from the mail / trade screen
Crafted Potions
Crafted potions/poisons will be displayed in your inventory as green, those with two ingredients as blue and those with three as purple quality.
DailyAutoShare
Makes the repetitive farming of dailies for motif pages and the like much easier. Also made by yours truly.
Destinations
Spoilers the fudge out of your map. Useful when playing alts. Not recommended for first playthrough.
DoItAll with FCO ItemSaver support
Allows you to queue several crafting operations. Nice alternative to repeatedly smashing your E key.
Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter
Displays a window at crafting stations that lets you finish your writs with the click of one button
FCO Item Saver
Okay, ESO can do this by itself now. But you can apply different kinds of filters to items in your bags/bank, and display/hide those in different contexts.
FCO Starve Stop
Annoys you when your buff food has ran out
FCO Lockpicker
Adds visual helpers to lockpicking. Simple convenience.
Furniture Catalogue
Adds a filterable list with all in-game furniture. Tracks recipes learned. Written by @manavortex.
Helmet Toggle
Lets you bind a key or toggle your helmet via button
MailBuddy
Lets you save people and subjects as favorites
MerAchievementFilters
Lets you filter your achievements after earned/unearned/title/dye
Potion Maker
Adds two tabs to the alchemy station, one for potions, one for poisons. Both have a far superior interface with search function and favorites.
Quality Sort
Lets you order your items after quality levels.
The Rolling TelVar Stones
Auto-banks all TV stones from your pockets.
ScreenshotHelper
Makes sure that your interface is actually hidden when you press the "hide interface"-button - including group makers. Also lets you change FOV and offset x/y via pic up/down and arrow keys while UI is hidden!
Simple Group Leave
Lets you leave groups by typing /gl. Such a timesaver!
Undaunted Daily
Tells you today's pledges on the slash command /pledges
Votan's Achievement Overview
Adds a page to your achievements that lets you see those you have last completed/progressed. Invaluable! The rest of votan's stuff is also neat.
Wykkydd's Toolbar
A toolbar to display information about your character. I mainly use it for the research timerss and the horse feeding bar, and the gold overview without having to open my bags
Zolan's Auto Repair
Automatically repairs your gear whenever you talk to a vendor.
Research
Auto Research
This Add-On starts research the moment you touch a crafting station
Research Craft
Via /researchexport [ww/bs/cloth] you generate a string (/researchcraft [a ton of numbers]) describing anything your character does not know yet. Inputting that string while at a crafting station will make the character autocraft anything they know.
Incredibly useful to quickly stock up on researchables!
