Dunmer conversation practice

(In)Direct statements
From what we get from the Elder Scrolls: Offline games, Dunmer society is both extremely formalised and highly decadent. Dunmer excel in indirect statements and most of the conversation actually happens between the lines.
Uttering a direct threat against a Dunmer will have only one effect: They will dismiss you as a conversation partner and start treating you like a jester or simpleton.
Dunmer insult
Did you know that there are rumours about your outstanding efforts when it comes to this subject? *coy look at target*
Translation: Everyone knows that you suck at this.
Dunmer threat
Serjo Something, how lovely to see you. I hear your family is well?
Translation: I'm spying on your family and can move an assassin if necessary
Dunmer joke
A Dark Elf man killed his wife after catching her making love with another man.
When the magistrate asked him why he killed her instead of her lover, the man replied, "I considered it better to kill one woman than a different man every week."
Hypocrisy!
Dunmer are a bunch of hypocrites. They expect nothing else of each other.
